My name is Joohyun Shon  (friends and colleagues call me Jay), a PhD candidate in the Wilf Family Department of Politics at New York University.

I am a formal theorist studying political economy and American politics, with a focus on understanding the effects of corporations on policymaking and electoral accountability.
